Grand Ol’ Christmas Show

The Grand Ol' Christmas Show is a tribute to the original, traditional, one hundred-percent, red-blooded, two-fisted, all American old fashioned Christmas Show. The show’s hosts were in need of a website refresh before ticket sales went live in October. As sponsors were directed to the site and visitors began searching for tickets, it was critical that the site be user-friendly, easy to navigate, and visually appealing.

The previous website was cluttered, confusing, and had multiple glitches when visited from mobile devices. Its makeover involved the following:

  • Simplifying the menu bar to prioritize Tickets, Dates, and Sponsors

  • Reorganizing content so key information was easier to find

  • Ensuring that content and calendars were up-to-date

  • Visually de-cluttering all pages by using a cleaner font hierarchy

  • Creating a more approachable atmosphere on the Home page by adding more "white space," swapping out photos, and limiting the use of busy parallax backgrounds

  • Fixing all glitches and broken links

The result: a website that tells potential sponsors that the Grand Ol' Christmas Show is worth investing in, and entices visitors to click that "buy now" button without hesitation.
